Let's play philosophy and adhere to Aristotelian syllogisms: if you love music, and you love musicians, then you'll enjoy FUCK HIM, HE'S A DJ.

It's a compendium of talented musicians - not just DJs - who merely happen to be fi-fi-fine.
Combining the best of ear candy and eye candy, we'll be sending you into a diabetic coma.

DJ Skinny Friedman from Philadelphyinz

I know you wish that was your pussy being so lovingly stroked, but sit tight and pay attention, because today we begin schooling you in the thriving and little publicized world of music (and hot musicians) in Philadelphia. Philadelphyinz - DJ Apt One and DJ Skinny Friedman - are kind of an underground big deal, and of course, what closet hipster (you, dear reader) doesn’t love “discovering hotttt unknown acts”?

Hailing originally from Pittsburgh, the duo’s music choices and remixes are heavy on vintage hip-hop and current indie-electro, but they’re always precisely crafted for feel-good, sweaty, delirious dancing! (Yes girls, if you ask nicely, they will indeed play you some Boys Noize OR Boyz II Men, depending on your poison. They’re just that versatile and nice).

Philadelphyinz have been around since about 2006, and have “shared stages” with Diplo, The Flaming Lips, and Peanut Butter Wolf, to cite a few credentials.

Now, don’t get us wrong, DJ Apt One is totally cute and crush-worthy. But it’s the Philadelphyinz’s other half, Skinny Friedman, with his stunning blue-green eyes and Adonis-like features that have got those American Apparel panties droppin’. Skinny, née Andrew, is indeed lithe and dresses really - what one, if one were from a 90s black sitcom written by white people- might call “fresh” (Yeah, fresssssh. You try it). He currently resides in NYC and besides working his magic with DJ Apt One, he also spins solo. I recommend checking out his remixes of Bon Iver’s “Blood Bank (Skinny Friedman DJ Edit)” and Animal Collective’s “My Girls (Skinny Friedman DJ Edit).”

Here’s the great news: they do regular-ish monthly gigs in both Philadelphia and NYC. In Philly, they’re awesome at Metropolis (951 Frankford Ave.), but I prefer catching them at teeny-tiny hipster haven Medusa (21st and Chestnut). Skinny also plays regularly at Pianos in NYC (oh you know where it is).
