Accompanied merely by his acoustic guitars, Swedish born Kristian Matsson can stare down an audience until they cum or cry (trust). Minimalistic and reminiscent of Dylan in the “While-he-was-young-believed-in-folk-and-banged-Joan Baez” era, Matsson’s music is earnest and unique. Absolutely incredible live. Great at the guitar, his lyrics encompass a beauty and sumptuousness that reach elegiac levels. Having toured the US in 2008 with notable act Bon Iver, he is currently performing all over Europe. At almost six feet, slender, and dressed in folk-y tight clothes, Matsson’s square chin, impish smile and palpable hair will break your heart before you can say “hej.”
